Moon Juice Expands to Skin Care With New Beauty Shroom Line

Never in a million years did Amanda Chantal Bacon think she’d launch a skin-care line. Bacon, most notably known as the face and founder of Moon Juice, a Los Angeles-based wellness hub filled to brim with dusts, tonics, and potions claiming to make you smarter, give your skin a glow, and improve your sex drive (sign me up), is expanding her adaptogen-centric line to include skin-care products, aptly named Beauty Shroom.”I think I’m the least likely person to do skin care,” Bacon tells a crowd of beauty editors at the collection’s launch event in New York City. “People would ask me, ‘Don’t you want to do clean skin care?’ And, seven years ago, it wasn’t really on my list.”But then, Bacon says, she turned 35, and her “hippie bar soap and pressed oils” just weren’t cutting it anymore. She adds, “I started to have that feeling that this doesn’t feel good, and I don’t know what to do anymore.”
